This simple, biodegradable fruit bowl is designed out of cardboard in a way that utilises corrugations for structural stability whilst remaining lightweight and minimalistic. This project was part of a university module that challenged students to design a celebrative, food-storing, flatpack product allowing for easy assembly by the customer. This product makes use of a basic but effective slotting system to remove the need for adhesive. It is capable of holding the same volume of fruit as its classic ceramic or glass competitors whilst having the benefit of complete recyclability.
