simple is effective

obvious is boring
Hi, I’m Jack Wells, and I want to break the conventions of design.
I am a 1st year BA Product and Furniture Design student at The University of Plymouth. As a young child, I was always an experiential learner. My fascination with objects and sketching translated into a love of design that has flourished during my time at sixth form, continuing to do so at university.
As an aspiring designer, I enjoy experimenting with materials, colour, and form to create thought-provoking, aesthetically pleasing, and functional products that prioritise user needs. I love taking on new projects that allow me to use new processes and develop my skills.
I hope that you enjoy looking through my portfolio of work.

my eco journey

Due to the impending climate disaster, the need for sustainable design is of utmost importance. I have therefore made considering the environmental impact and carbon footprint of my products a key design influence. My Without Waste Homeware Range and the Students' Union Awards are examples of recent, eco-friendly projects I have been involved in.
